São Martinho do Porto

Just a quick update on the table that was damaged on transit to Portugal with the removal company, and an unplanned visit to São Martinho do Porto.

If you follow the YouTube channel videos, you can see that the weather is being really kind to us so far in November. When we are out and about it seems like a crime not to take advantage of such lovely surroundings on sunny days, and it really lifts your spirits!

So the second-hand shop is just past Alcobaça and on the way to the coast, from us here in the Serra de Aire e candeeiros park. We arrived to find the store shut up and a ’Ja Volta’ (back soon) sign on the door. Lucky for us he returned after about a five minute wait. Wayne took the table in and left our details with him to contact us. This being Portugal, it can be some time to hear from him, but we are not in a hurry, and its best done properly.

The news on the house isn’t that inspiring at the moment and the progress seems to be held up by the building department, who need to request more documentation from our builders before things can move forward. Crossed fingers that we should see some progress soon! I know everyone is keen to see the process and updates, and we will keep everyone updated as soon as we hear anything.

So, after we dropped the table off, we decided to head on to São Martinho do Porto on the coast. We have been several times, and it’s one of our favorite destinations! We have never really explored the town further in from the front though, and never to the upper part and viewpoints overlooking the fantastic shell shaped cove.

So sit back and watch our short video on where we went and what we saw, and hopefully I will have some good news next time you stop by!
