Just a quick post as it was our 40th anniversary this week.
We are enjoying a little more freedom now as the pandemic restrictions ease a bit. Plus we have just a little more confidence since we have both had our two vaccinations, but we are not letting our guard down and still intend to do everything we have to do to avoid getting or passing on the virus.
The actual day of our anniversary was just going to be a quick visit to the coast to enjoy a bite to eat in the relatively cooler air. We did drive up the coast for a short while, checking out some quiet resorts, but ended up in Praia de São Pedro de Moel. It was quiet, but we still managed to find a lovely little cafe/gelataria called ‘Iceberg’, it was very nice!

While we were there enjoying our calorific ice cream desert, we thought about what we could do and and where we could go when our grandson comes over eventually. He is a very lively boy almost three years old and is into the usual things like Paw Patrol, but also loves dinosaurs.
That got us thinking about the Dino Parque at Lourinhã, which was not too far a drive, so decided to go and check it out.
It was well worth the visit and we agreed it would be a fantastic day out for him. It does need an entire day to enjoy fully, and although food and drink are available it’s well worth taking a picnic as it is quite pricey (for Portugal). It’s probably cheaper if you book online, but as this was an ‘off the cuff’ decision we took one for the gipper!

As for our ‘proper’ anniversary celebration, we have decided to go north and group together all the reasons to celebrate we have missed because of the pandemic restrictions. The plan is to spend a couple of days at a location to chill, relax and spend it together with our besties!
It’s all booked up and we are heading off this weekend, so stay tuned…
